We visited Paris to celebrate our ten year anniversary together. For such an occasion, we quickly agreed on the location and chose a long weekend in the much acclaimed European "city of love". We're happy to say that we did indeed have a romantic time away and the French capital did not dissapoint in terms of its extravagent structures, good food, Parisien ambience, and quaint hotels.
The weather was crap of course ... seems you just can't go away for a weekend in northern Europe during the middle of August these days without experiencing highly volatile weather; streaming sunshine one minute and then sideways rain the next. But if anything, it added to the experience ensuring that we didn't go too mad sightseeing, forcing us into bars, and retiring early for afternoon siestas.
For our celebratory evening meal, we visited the very popular 'Bofinger Brasserie' near the Bastille which was exceptional and just the atmosphere we were looking for to toast our first decade together.
