multicolouredplanet showcases some of the many amazing travel and adventures that we, and some of our friends, have had the pleasure of experiencing around the world. We originally posted content up on a static html web site at grundlefly.com, but then moved over to this dynamic web site, which takes a lot of the hard work out of adding new content. We've put hundreds, if not thousands, of hours into creating this web site and it serves as a great way for us to remember all of our travels and adventures in one place. We hope it gives you some ideas and inspires you to get out there and have some adventures of your own. A short bio of each of us is provided below.

If you are interested in showcasing some of your own travels on this site, then get in contact with us via the link at the bottom of the page and we'll see what we can do.

darrell

Darrell

Born and raised as a northerner, yet house-trained as a southerner. This lad gets his kicks from wild terrain, petrolhead antics, computers, real ale and generally scouring the Internet for interesting bits and pieces.

Favourite foods include many hot dinner sandwiches (highly recommended is lasagna and tomato sauce between white bread), pesto pasta, gourmet hot dogs, and medium-hot British style Indian resturant curries.

Favourite films include The Burbs, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, Smokey and the Bandit, The Big Lebowski, Old School, Napolean Dynamite and The Gumball Rally.

gilly

Gilly

Born and raised as a southerner, yet now educated in important northern ways such as eating massive plates of greasy dinner quickly, lower expectations of cleanliness, and tortuous hill climbing.

Favourite foods include hummus with everything, lobster thermidor, sandwiches with absurd amounts of filling, filet mignon steak, and current favourite of Mexican sausage tortilla wraps.

Favourite films come under the Pathe category of 'gay classics' including Pride and Prejudice, Moulin Rouge, Sense and Sensibility, Much Ado About Nothing and You've Got Mail.

barney american cocker spaniel

Barney

This little bear has been our travel companion since 2012. You wouldn't think this fluffy spaniel would be a hardy long-distance hiker and wild camper, but he's made of stern stuff and makes all of our trips more enjoyable being part of our company.

Favourite foods include, well everything really, with the surprising exception of dark crab meat.

Favourite films include Lassie, Beethoven, Turner and Hooch, 101 Dalmations, Benji and Big Trouble in Little China.

betty american cocker spaniel

Betty

This cutesy fluff ball is the newest addition to our travelling contingent, although we haven't taken her on any big adventures as yet, and she's a bit of a homebird. But she likes wild walks and has done a wild camp, so we reckon she's ready for action!

Favourite foods include, well everything really. Dogs are not fussy. Maybe mash is her absolute fave!

Favourite TV series include Planet Earth, Great British Bake Off and Cash in the Attic.
